Internal Grants

The annual Research, Scholarship, and Creative Activity (RSCA) Awards Program is an intramural faculty research grant program intended to support faculty research, scholarship, and creative activity, interpreted broadly to mean the disciplined quest for broadening human understanding.

The call for proposals is typically announced late Fall-early Spring and applications are due each Spring semester. This opportunity is open to all members of Unit 3. Applicants should request one of three possible categories of awards:

1) 3 WTUs of reassigned time;
2) Summer salary support; or
3) Mini-grants to purchase materials and supplies, travel to conduct research, and/or purchase equipment.

To encourage mentoring of students who engage in faculty-led RSCA projects, applicants may also request up to $1,500 in supplemental funding for student assistantship and/or student travel to present at a professional conference or meeting.

Congratulations to the 2024-25 RSCA Awardees!

Grants for My Research (GMR) is CSUDH’s grant proposal development program that aims to equip faculty with the tools required for the development and submission of competitive extramural grant proposals. This program is designed to provide faculty with resources for research development and idea refinement, editorial and writing support, grantspersonship, and mentoring for the timely submission of high-quality extramural grant proposals. Overall, GMR will support faculty in their efforts to achieve success in research, scholarly, and creative activities for tenure and promotion.

GMR program activities will include:

  • Online Kick-off workshops
  • One-on-one consultations with a grant development mentor in addition to other cohort/group meetings.
  • Opportunity to attend local meeting(s) or trainings in grant development.
  • Ongoing access to grant reviewers and proposal editors.

For the current program deadline, visit the InfoReady online applications and submission portal. The program guidelines can be found in the InfoReady portal.
